November 23, 2011 (Rock Island, Ill.) – Doug Davidson, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, recently announced that John Hoffmann will join the company as Regional Sales Manager, Western Region, on Dec.1.
“John is a seasoned professional in the food industry,” says Davidson. “His impressive career and excellent reputation with the largest retailers in the country assure he has the tools needed to be a stellar member of our team.”
Prior to joining Hill & Valley, John served as a National Account Manager for Ralcorp Frozen Dough, Inc. Previous to his tenure at Ralcorp, John worked as Senior Territory Manager for General Mills Bakeries & Foodservice.

Hoffmann resides in Vancouver, WA with his wife and son. He was educated at the American Institute of Baking and Dunwoody Institute.
“John’s hire is just one step in an overall strategy to strengthen our focus on sales and marketing,” states Davidson. “We have an excellent team, and now it’s one person stronger.”
Davidson is also a recent hire for the organization. Scott Florence, Hill & Valley’s President and CEO, announced in September that Davidson had filled the newly created role of Executive Vice President.
“We are growing our team to meet our business’ needs, including the roll out of new product lines and expanding the number of nationwide retailers carrying Hill & Valley products,” says Florence.
Prior to joining Hill & Valley, Davidson was President of California-based XLNT Foods Corp. and Jacques Gourmet/Miss Meringue. Earlier in his career, he resided in Illinois and held roles including Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Parco Foods as well as Vice President for Orval Kent Food, where he led the company’s growth from $30 million to more than $200 million.
Rounding out the sales team is Jim Rasmussen, Director of National Accounts for the organization, and James Woods, Regional Sales Manager, Northern Region. Amy Behning is the organization’s Director of Marketing. April Adamson is the Customer Service Manager.
