(ROCK ISLAND, Ill.) Hill and Valley, a Rock Island-based manufacturer of no-sugar-added and sugar-free desserts, announces the addition of several new positions.
Phillip A. Ramey was made part of the Hill & Valley team in February of 2007 in a newly created position of Customer Service Manager. Mr. Ramey is originally from Chicago and most recently working with Rexam as a customer service consultant in Pearcy, AR. He graduated from Saint Xavier University, Chicago and is a member of the International Customer Service Association.
Phil`s addition is another progression in the growth of Hill and Valley. He brings a new skill set to an already strong management team. Our goal is to continually bring the highest quality, innovative, sugar-free and no sugar added desserts for those who must or want to reduce sugar in their diets. Phil`s extensive industry background will help us reach our goals.
Robert (Bob) W. Edgcomb joined Hill & Valley`s in the new position of Sanitation and Food Safety Manager. Bob has a back ground in the food industry. He has worked for Tyson foods for 7 years. Trained in quality control, Hazmat Certified, OSHA Regulations, HACCP, Management Diversity, Statistical Process Control and ISO 9000 plus Procedures.
Bob is from this area graduating from North Scott High School and working on his business degree.
Jose Velez previously serving as Sanitation and Production Manager has been moved into another newly created position of R&D and Quality Assurance Manager. Jose and his family came to Hill & Valley from Overland Park Kansas. He is a graduate from the American Institute of Baking in Manhattan Kansas and is pursuing a degree in Food Science from Kansas State University. As an AIB graduate Jose brings a lot of expertise on quality and new product development.
Michael Cleary has been promoted to Director of Purchasing. Mike has been with Hill & Valley since 1997. During that time he has received a degree from Western University with a BA in Management. Mike belongs to NAS a national organization for purchasing personal. Mike`s experience has been an integral part of the growth at Hill & Valley.
The Hill & Valley team is excited about these personal changes and the value each of these members brings to the staff. All of these changes move Hill & Valley forward in the baking industry. Making Hill & Valley the leader in the sugar free and no sugar added market.
